The Volunteer Centres of Guelph-Wellington, Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge-North Dumfries are pleased to present a regional training service designed for staff and volunteers at local community benefit organizations.

The Waterloo-Wellington Learning Alliance is a partnership of the Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington, the Volunteer Action Centre of Kitchener-Waterloo & Area, and United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries - Volunteer Cambridge.  It is an Education and Training service for community benefit organizations in the Region of Waterloo and Wellington County.  This service brings game-changing training and consultation to community benefit organizations in board governance, senior leadership and management of volunteers.

We are very excited about our role in serving you - the passionate and skilled people who work and volunteer in our sector!  Click here for the official partnership announcement.

Launch of YouthEngaged.ca website

We are please to announce that our new website, www.youthengaged.ca, is now live! This website is a new and exciting resource for high school students who are looking to get involved in social initiatives or earn community service hours for the 40 hour requirement for graduation.

This year we will be running a 5-10-20 campaign, where students will be able to select volunteer opportunities based on how many hours they'd like to put in - 5 hours, 10 hours, or 20 hours. We've also created step-by-step guides for students who are interested in creating their own community service projects based on their interests, skills, and passions.
