Volunteer Rights Inquiry Final Report Released
The Inquiry proposed the 3R Promise which sets out an agreement or aspiration to follow procedures when volunteers are in dispute with their volunteering organizations. It invites volunteering organizations to get it RIGHT, offer RECONCILIATION and take RESPONSIBILITY. Click here to find out more about the 3R Promise. The Inquiry has come to the end of its life span, releasing its final recommendations, next steps and revisions in July. Click here to review the final report.

That’s why she prefers to refer to them as online volunteers, or volunteers who do things online. Read TheNonProfitTimes’ interview with Cravens, who recently co-authored the book “The Last Virtual Volunteering Guidebook: Fully Integrating Online Service into Volunteer Involvement.”

Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation Resource
Mark Blumberg from Blumberg Segal LLP provides a very salient perspective on the impacts of Canada’s anti-spam legislation and its impact on charities and nonprofit organizations. To access this fact sheet, click here. The Volunteer Centre also has a one-page fact sheet with resources on CASL. To access the fact sheet, click.
