Our new website, www.youthengaged.ca, is now live! This website is a new and exciting resource for high school students who are looking to get involved in social initiatives or earn community service hours for the 40 hour requirement for graduation.
This year we will be running a 5-10-20 campaign, where you'll be able to select volunteer opportunities based on how many hours you'd like to put in - 5 hours, 10 hours, or 20 hours. We've also created step-by-step guides for students who are interested in creating your own community service projects based on your interests, skills, and passions.
What will you find on this site?
- 5 hour, 10 hour, and 20 hour volunteer opportunities with over 100 nonprofit organizations
- tools for creating your own 5 hour, 10 hour, or 20 hour community service project
- information about the Ministry of Education 40 hour requirement for OSSD
- resources on how volunteering can support you in your career path
- information on how you can participate in the Snow Angels or ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge initiatives
- fun stuff related to civic engagement
Did you know that you can now earn community service hours towards the 40 hour requirement for graduation in the summer before Grade 9? Click here to learn more.
